Another fantastic job by the WNBA with only one game today. The Las Vegas Aces will take on the Golden State Valkyries. It'll be the first time these two teams face each other this season.
Las Vegas is 4-3 to start the season and fourth in the West. They come into this game on a two-game losing streak after another loss on Thursday to the Wings. The Aces are 4-1 on the road though and look to bounce back after their first road loss of the season.

Reigning MVP A'ja Wilson is off to a great start. She is averaging 24 points and 7 rebounds per game. She has a 45-point game under her belt this season as well. Some of her teams are still warming up, like Chelsea Gray averaging 11 points and 7 assists per game and Jackie Young averaging 10 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds per game.
The biggest surprise for this team has been guard Chennedy Carter. She came in and started the season off the bench but has been crushing it. She is averaging 19 points per game and has had four 20+ point games already.

Golden State off to a great start to the season

Aces guard Jackie Young tries to drive past Valkyries guard Veronica Burton.
The Valkyries are 5-2 to start the year and second in the West. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after another win over the Fever on Thursday. Golden State has played well at home so far with a 3-1 record.
This team was a huge shock in their inaugural season, even making the playoffs. They made a huge signing in the offseason when they landed Gabby Williams, and it is paying off. She is averaging 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Williams is also shooting 40% from the field and from three-point range.
Returning players Veronica Burton, Janelle Salaun, and Kayla Thornton. Thornton suffered an injury that ended her season early last year, so watch for her to break out. Burton is currently leading the team with 16 points per game as well as 6 assists to go with it.
Let's check out the odds and get into the Aces vs. Valkyries picks.

This should be a good game given how each team is playing. Due to size, I have to imagine Kayla Thornton will be guarding A'ja Wilson and that will be a difference maker. If she can container Wilson, the Valkyries have a chance to win this game.
With such a close spread, I'll also be hitting the moneyline with Golden State. Vegas had a rocky start to last season, and I don't think that's the case here, but that loss to the Wings was a surprise. Their most recent win was decided by one basket as well, so I don't see this as a great bounce back spot.
The Golden State crowd is loud and intense. I think it'll give the Valkyries that extra boost to get the win. I like for Veronica Burton to get over her points line. She is coming off a 25-point game, and her line should be around 17 points. They need her to score if they want to win this game.
