The Dallas Wings have won consecutive games to move back to .500 once again. Will they pick up a third straight win to join the Las Vegas Aces, Connecticut Sun, New York Liberty, and Washington Mystics in the group of teams that are over .500?
Well, there's bad news, and then there's bad news. The bad news is that they have to face the Aces in an attempt to win three straight games for the first time all season. The bad news on top of the bad news is that things might get pretty ugly at Michelob Ultra Arena.
The Aces (15-1, 9-0 home) extended their current win streak to eight games with a 102-84 win over the Connecticut Sun on Saturday. If they were able to see off one of the best teams in the WNBA with such ease, what is in store for the Wings (8-8), who are 2-6 on the road this season?

Will the Aces Cruise to Another Comfortable Home Win?
There's still a lot of basketball left to played in the current WNBA season, but it is clear that it is going to take a pretty special effort to keep them from winning back-to-back championships.
Their impressive showing against the Sun saw the Aces hit the 100-point mark for the third time in the 2023 season, and it was their tenth double-digit win of the year.
At home, the Aces continue to score almost at will. As I mentioned in my Sun vs Aces picks piece, the reigning champions have scored no fewer than 88 points at home this season. With their 102-point performance against the Sun, the Aces are now averaging 95.3 points per game at home.
The Wings have lit up the scoreboard a handful of times this season, as they have scored 90 or more points five times. But can they keep up with the Aces?
To date, the Wings are 6-3 this season when scoring 85 or more points, and they are going to have to hit that number at minimum to potentially have a chance in this game.
However, Dallas is only 2-5 thus far this season when they have allowed 80 or more points, compared to 6-3 when allowing fewer than 80 points.
It feels like it would be a near-miracle if they were to manage to hold the Aces to fewer than 80 points. Heck, even keeping them under 90 would be a noteworthy achievement with how prolific they have been this season. But will they at least be able to cover the spread?

I think that Dallas can hang with Las Vegas for a while, but as with many things that occur in Vegas, keeping up the entire way through is not an easy feat. Look for the Aces to make it nine straight with their 11th double-digit win of the season.
