We head to the greatest city in the world, the Big Apple. The Toronto Tempo are in town to take on the New York Liberty. This will be the first time the Tempo play the Liberty and it's a Commissioner's Cup game.

New York is 5-4 this season and tied for second in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after beating the Mercury on Friday. The Liberty are 3-3 at home this season so far and will look to add another W.

Although this team is stacked, they're looking a little rusty. They resigned their big three in the offseason of Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones. New York also added a dangerous weapon in Satou Sabally as well. All these ladies are still settling in to an extent.

Rookie Pauline Astier has had a huge impact so far. She is averaging 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Astier has also started eight of the nine games so far this season. Bringing back Marine Johannes and her three-point shooting ability was another great move.

Toronto off to a solid start to their first season

The Tempo are 5-4 this year and tied for second place in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after a win on Saturday over the Storm. Toronto is 3-2 on the road so far this season.

It's been a fun start for their first season. I don't think anyone thought much of them, but with a back court of Marina Mabrey and Brittney Sykes, you have a decent start. The drafting of Kiki Rice was also a solid addition to this team's core. Nyara Sabally has also been contributing the team's success.

The Liberty haven't looked like their dominant selves and the Tempo can really give you a run for your money. Give me the Tempo to keep it close and cover the nine points. It will come down to a few things for Toronto.

Mabrey and Sykes needs to cook, especially Mabrey from three. If they do and Rice can give the same continued play, then have a chance to win even. The Liberty have dropped games to Dallas, Golden State and Portland recently. Toronto definitely has a shot here.

I like for Marina Mabrey to have a big game. I'll take her for 3 or more three pointers and ladder her to 4. She has to put up high volume and shoot well for the Tempo to have a chance so the ball will be in her hands plenty.
