We had another strange schedule today, but they saved the best for the last. The Golden State Valkyries will take on the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. These two teams last met at the end of May, and the Valkyries pulled off a two-point win.
Golden State is 17-7 this season and is tied for second in the Western Conference. They come into this game hot as fire, winning their last seven games straight. Their lasted win was on Friday vs the Sun where they won by 15 points. The Valkyries are 8-2 in their last ten games and 7-4 on the road.

Great start for Golden State in only their second year. They added forward Gabby Williams to the team this year and she's become a team leader. She's averaging a team high 15 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this year.
They play a slow game in the bay area. The Valkyries rank in the bottom of the league for points per game and pace. But on the other hand, they're second best in turnovers and have the best defensive rating the league. Golden State makes teams play their game and will continue to try again tonight.

Indiana will look to cool off Golden State at home tonight

Fever center Aliyah Boston heads to the bench after a timeout is called.
The Fever are 14-9 this year and are first in the Eastern Conference. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after a big win over the Aces on Sunday. Indiana is 6-4 in their last ten games and 8-4 at home this season.
It's been an interesting start for them, but they've crept their way right back into it. Guard Caitlin Clark has missed some time this season but has been great when playing. She is averaging 20.1 points, 7.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game on 42.7% shooting.
Their offense has been flying this season. They rank first in the league for points per game, second in pace and third for field goal percentage. This team also shoots well from three-point range and the free throw line. To go along with it all, the Fever have the best offensive rating in the league as well.
Indiana ranks fifth in rebounding but that may be their best defensive quality. They rank in the bottom of the league for turnovers and are ninth in defense rating. Let's check out the odds and get into the Valkyries vs. Fever picks.

Should be a great game between very good teams. I think I have to go with the hot hand here, especially as the underdog. We'll sprinkle the moneyline, but the play will be Valkyries on the spread, getting 3.5 points.
They covered this in the last game between the two teams. I think with Golden State being a good road team and Indiana being a good home team kind of makes for a close match. The Fever will also be tested by the Valkyries top defense which should inevitably keep this game close.
I really like Veronica Burton tonight. She is coming off a 17-point performance vs. a struggling Sun team that should get her back on track. Give me her to record 12 or more points for -130. She has been missing all over this season but had two solid games vs. Indiana this season and I think it happens again.
