Camden Yards is going to be cooking on Thursday, which should make for some top MLB predictions today! The Baltimore Orioles will host the Seattle Mariners in the final matchup of the series after a 7-2 victory on Wednesday. Let's dive into my favorite MLB pick for tonight's Orioles vs. Mariners battle in what's looking like a true scorcher out there.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Seattle Mariners MLB Betting Insights

A few things are lining up here that I really like, and when multiple factors point in the same direction, that's when I have a strong conviction behind one of my MLB predictions.
Start with the weather. It's projected to be in the mid-90s in Baltimore on Thursday, with an excessive heat warning already in effect. That ball is going to have a chance to fly at Camden Yards, and that's not something to gloss over. Hitting conditions in that kind of heat are as good as it gets in baseball, and Camden Yards is already a hitter-friendly environment to begin with.
Now factor in the pitching matchup. Kyle Bradish hasn't been bad, but he hasn't been perfect either. His ERA sits at 3.89, but his expected ERA is a tick over 4.00, which puts him closer to league average than the traditional number suggests. There's real regression risk here, especially in the heat, and I think the Mariners are a dangerous team to expose it.

Here's the part that really caught my eye: according to Baseball Savant, the Mariners rank dead last in park factors for hitting at T-Mobile Park. Dead last. But against right-handed pitching at home this season, they own the highest weighted runs created plus in all of Major League Baseball. Highest. In the league. That's a wild statistic for a team playing half of its games in one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in baseball. Now you're picking them up and dropping them into what will be a mid-90s microwave at Camden Yards on Thursday.
Bryan Woo is one of the most talented pitchers in baseball, but his home/road splits are making me pump the brakes on him Thursday. He's posted a 2.37 ERA at T-Mobile Park and a 5.08 ERA on the road. Still, a relatively small sample size, but the trend is there. Away from a pitcher-friendly home park, he's been pretty bad. Now, he'll have to battle the heat as well. The Orioles have been disappointing this season, but the talent in the lineup is undeniable.
When you combine possible Bradish regression, Woo's road ERA, a Mariners offense that absolutely feasts on right-handers, and excessive heat conditions that are going to do the baseball no favors, I like the over in this one. I'm a little shocked this total is sitting at 8.5, honestly. I would not be surprised to see this one catch some steam and for oddsmakers to hang 9.5 somewhere.
