Game Pick: Colorado Rockies vs Milwaukee Brewers Over 8.5 -113 Lucky Rebel
You wouldn't believe it but if you look deeper into the numbers you will see how good the Colorado Rockies are against Left Handed Pitching, which is what they will see tonight, In Robert Gasser. This does not only apply to Coors field, but on the road also, where they are 4th in Runs scored (79), 5th in Batting average (.260), 7th in OPS (.734) and 7th in wRC+ (101). Although Robert Gasser does have outstanding numbers at home, where he owns an ERA of 3.16 and a WHIP of 1.13, those outing have been against lesser offensive competition. He has started against Miami. Cincinnati, Cleveland, San Francisco and the Dodgers, who were the only team to really get to him.
Let's turn to the Milwaukee Brewers and their home splits. The Brew Crew vs Right handers at home are 2nd in Runs scored (213), 6th in Batting average (.262), 6th in OPS (.777) and 4th in wRC+ (115). Ryan Feltner, for the Rockies, has been equally bad on the road as at home. He owns a road ERA of 5.32 and a WHIP of 1.64. I do like the Brewers to do most of the scoring here but I think the Rockies can chip in a few runs on Gasser, before they face an oustading Brewers bullpen and their 3.51 ERA.
Player Prop: Christian Yelich Over 1.5 Total Bases +133 Lucky Rebel
Although he has struggled this seaseon, Brewers Designated Hitter Christian Yelich is one of the most streakiest players in Major League Baseball. He has cleared his Total Bases number in 6 of his last 7 games. Lifetime he is 5/14 with 3 Doubles vs Feltner, who has a Barrel Rate of 11.2 on the season (9th Percentile). That matches up with Yelich's Barrel rate of 8.6 (54th Percentile). Given how Yelich is swinging the bat right now and he numbers vs Feltner, I like him to eclipse this mark tonight.
Player Prop: Hunter Goodman Over 1.5 Total Bases +120 Lucky Rebel
Rockies Catcher Hunter Goodman is having an outstanding season this far. He is hitting .259 with 31 Home Runs (tyiing a career high) and 58 Runs Batted In. He has beeter number on the road where he is hitting .284 with 18 Home Runs and 34 Runs Batted In. Against Left Handed Pitching, he is hitting .286 with an ISO of .268. He has never faced Gasser in his career but let look at how he's done vs the pitch mix he will see:
- Sweeper (.239 ISO/33.3 hard Hit %)
- 4 Seam (.274 ISO/59.0 hard Hit %)
- Sinker (.412 ISO/45.2 Hard Hit %)
- Cutter (.316 ISO/ 33.3 Hard Hit %)
Added to this is the fact that Goodman has a Barrel rate of 17.4 this season, which is in the 97th percentile. I love him to eclipse this mark tonight.
