This series is the only meeting between the two current division leaders, and the White Sox got the upper hand last night by winning 8-2. Now they look to win the series with a victory tonight, but the books think that could be a tough task. Let's get into our favorite MLB picks for this matchup on Saturday afternoon.

As I said, both teams currently lead their divisions. The Dodgers are 44-26 and are a full eight games ahead of the San Diego Padres in the NL West. Things were much closer a few weeks ago, but now Los Angeles seems to be running away with the west. However, they are only 2-3 in their last five overall, but they post a 22-14 record on the road this year.
The White Sox are in a much tougher divisional race. They lead the Cleveland Guardians by just half a game, and the entire division is within 10 games back of first place. However Chicago is on pace to have one of their best years in the MLB since 2021. Can they keep it up at home tonight against one of the most expensive teams in the entire league?

Los Angeles looks to bounce back with a win over the White Sox tonight
Dodgers vs. White Sox Prediction: Dodgers Win and Cover, Over 8
Best Bet: Dodgers -1.5 (-120) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Typically I would want plus money for a run line wager, but I'll still back the Dodgers tonight. Yamamoto has been a stud, and his 2.68 ERA drops slightly when pitching away from home. He is also fourth in the MLB in WHIP, and top 10 in ERA as well. He has allowed just three total earned runs in his last four starts, and has not allowed more than one earned run in those contests as well. The man is shoving, coming off pitching eight innings against the Angels where he allowed just two hits and zero walks. I think he can roll tonight against the White Sox.
Sean Burke's splits get much worse at Rate Field, and he just gave up three earned runs to the Phillies on three hits and five walks, including two home runs. Despite him getting the win, that kind of production is not going to get it done against the Dodgers. He's allowed at least three earned runs five different times this year, and tonight I see the Los Angeles' bats taking advantage.
