With today being the first off day from the FIFA World Cup since the tournament began, it was time for me to dive back into the baseball lab and see if we can find any winners. Despite being focused on the beautiful game, we are still having plenty of success betting on the MLB, and we're hoping that stays the case with our picks and best bets for today! Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals MLB Picks

Yelich and the Brewers are leading the NL Central as they face a divisional foe tonight on the road
Brewers vs. Cardinals Pitching Matchup
- Milwaukee Brewers: LHP Kyle Harrison (8-1, 2.82 ERA, 1.08 WHIP)
- St. Louis Cardinals: RHP Michael McGreevy (3-7, 3.12 ERA, 1.11 WHIP)
Best Bet: Brewers -1.5 (+125) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Tonight we are backing the Brewers to win by two runs on the road at Busch Stadium, something they did just last night. In fact, the Brewers have now won four straight overall and three in a row against St. Louis in this series. Plus, overall this season against the Cardinals, they are 7-1 overall, winning by two in four of those games.
Even though the Cardinals hit slightly better against left handed pitchers, they do struggle at home, and Harrison has been on fire. He hasn't lost a game since April 11, and the Brewers are 12-4 in games where he starts, covering the run line in 10 of those games. And I have no problem fading McGreevy.
The Cardinals' pitcher does better at home, but he's allowed at least two earned runs in seven of his last eight starts, including giving up five runs twice. He already got ripped apart by Milwaukee, giving up five earned runs on seven hits and three walks in just four innings. Tonight I see the Brewers staying hot and scoring enough to cover the spread.
Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Picks

Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers face the worst team in the NL West tonight at home
Rockies vs. Dodgers Pitching Matchup
- Colorado Rockies: RHP Gabriel Hughes (0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP)
- Los Angeles Dodgers: RHP Roki Sasaki (3-5, 5.40 ERA, 1.40 WHIP)
Best Bet: Dodgers -1.5 (-120) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Could it be as easy as backing the Dodgers to win by two? I hope so tonight as I take the hosts in Dodger Stadium. Hughes has only pitched three innings this year, so I am not factoring in his stats at all. We simply don't have a big enough sample size. But it's the Dodgers against the Rockies, and I don't need much more convincing.
They lead the season series 6-3, winning five of those games by at least two runs. Plus they were beaten last night, so bouncing back after a loss should be a top priority for this team. They are 30-16 at home and hit .269 against right handed pitching, while Colorado is 16-30 on the road and hitting just .244 away from Coors this season.
Not only that, but the Dodgers are on top of the NL West at the moment, and the Rockies are dead last, sitting 22 games behind Los Angeles. I have no problem backing the much better team to win by two runs today.
