The two teams at the bottom of the NL West begin their first series of the 2026 MLB season tonight in Denver. The Colorado Rockies host the San Francisco Giants at Coors Field, as the two bring up the rear of the division. Colorado is currently 16.5 games out of first place, and the Giants aren't much better, sitting 14 games behind first place. It seems as this division is going to be a three horse race, but there's still plenty of time for these two ball clubs to turn things around. Let's check out our favorite MLB picks for tonight at Coors.

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies MLB Betting Insights

Hunter Goodman has 112 home runs this year, tied for first on the team
Both teams bring horrible losing streaks into this contest tonight, but someone has to walk away a winner. The Rockies have now dropped five straight after being swept by the Dodgers out in Los Angeles. Now they are back at home, where they are just 10-15 on the year. The Giants haven't been much better, losing three straight to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the desert.
Two righties take the bump for their squads, and they have a combined ERA of 12.27 and an average WHIP of 1.65. Will either be able to turn things around and shove on the mound tonight? Let's dive into the betting odds and pitching matchup to find our wagers!

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies MLB Picks

Logan Webb is making his seventh start of the season tonight on the road at Coors Field
Giants vs. Rockies Prediction: Giants Win and Cover, Over 10.5
Best Bet: Giants -1.5 (-112) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Give me the Giants to bounce back and win this game by two. Clearly, at Coors, we are going to see some runs. San Francisco already hits .245 as a team, and that only drops to .244 against right handed pitching. But on the road, they see an improvement up to .250. Michael Lorenzen has gotten blown up this year, especially at home.
His ERA jumps to 10.03 and his WHIP up to 2.47. That's not going to cut it. He's allowed at least four earned runs in four of his last five starts, totaling 24 earned runs allowed in his last 25 total innings. At home, he's given up six, seven, three, one and nine earned runs so far this year. Obviously pitching in that elevation is tough, and I would expect him to struggle a little bit more at home. But his analytics don't give me much faith in Lorenzen figuring things out, and I certainly don't trust the Rockies' bats to provide much run support.
Logan Webb's splits move in the opposite direction. His ERA drops below 4.00 in road starts, and his WHIP comes down a few points to 1.32 as well. Now the man hasn't made a start since the beginning of the month, but coming off the IL, I have much more faith in him getting the run support he needs to lead the Giants to a victory.
