The UFC is back with week 9 of Dana White's Contender series with a stacked 5 fight card. The card features some rather close match ups, including the closely lined Main Event which features highly touted prospect Summer Onley taking on Alivia Bierly.
The Co – Main event is bound to bring equal scrutiny, as UFC employee Sal Everett looks to become the first employee turned fighter for the UFC. Sal is Dana White's personal assistant and has begged for an opportunity since getting the job.
Everett is not green to MMA, with 4 professional fights under his belt & in peak physical shape. The bout provides an interesting storyline for the card due to his opponent Ozzy Martin being a legit contender as well.
This season of Contender series has flown by, with just 1 episode left after tonight. Lets waste no more time and jump right into a preview of the Week 9 installment of Dana White's Contender Series!

Main Event: Alivia Bierly vs Summer Onley Preview – Women's Bantamweight

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – OCTOBER 05: (L-R) Summer Onley of England and Alivia Bierley face off during Dana White's Contender Series season ten, week nine official weigh-in
Tuesday night will feature the long awaited debut of UK prospect Summer Onley. She will be taking on Fury FC alumni Alivia Bierly in a the main event of the 9th week of Dana Whites Contender Series.
The MMA world has been very high on Summer Onley due to her impressive Amateur career. Another big selling point to fans, has been her finishing ability a rare feat in women's MMA.
Onley has 6 professional wins, finishing 5 of those bouts by way of knockout. She has impressed many with the power and technical striking which is a breath of fresh air in the Women's Bantamweight division.
The only downside to Onley is her age, at 32 years old she is not exactly a fresh chicken with a long career ahead of her. Onley will be stating her claim for a contract right in her prime so she will 100% have to hit the ground running.
If she has any title aspirations, she will need a little push to the top from the UFC with strategic match making. I believe that starts here with a match up against an inexperienced Alivia Bierly.
Will Bierly Upset Onley's UFC Hopes?
Bierly has an interesting career up to this point. She is fighting out of San Antonio Texas, under the Spratt Hybrid Systems gym.
Despite a very impressive Amateur career where she went 6-0, Bierly has not found the same success in her Pro career. She is listed at 6-1 , but has an additional loss in Boxing which is significant in this match up with a seasoned striker like Onley.
Since, Bierly has racked up 3 straight wins in 1 calendar year which has earned her this shot against the hyped up prospect Onley. Many fans are counting her out of this fight, but I believe the sportsbooks may feel differently.
This match up is priced rather evenly, with Bierly being a very slight underdog at (+140). Bierly may be out to upset fans across the globe and surprise many with her striking.
The match up tonight is sure to be an exciting one with not much threat of grappling from either fighter. MMA fans across the globe are highly anticipating a women's slug fest in the Main Event of week 9.
