Nate Oats and the No. 13 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide head to Nashville to take on another ranked SEC opponent, but maybe one who isn't used to being this good. The Vanderbilt Commodores are a perfect 14-0 this season and come into this matchup ranked No. 11 in the country. Can the team from Music City keep their perfect season going? Or will the Crimson Tide be able to hand them their first loss of the season as 4.5 point underdogs? Let's get into our favorite picks and find out.
Best Bet: Amari Allen (Bama) Over 17.5 Points and Rebounds (-122) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook

#13 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. #11 Vanderbilt Commodores NCAA Basketball Insights

Duke Miles puts up over 17 points per game for the Commodores
Both of these teams play freaky fast, and both have certainly been battle tested so far this season. The Crimson Tide have three losses this year, to Purdue, Gonzaga and Arizona. All forgivable losses in my eyes. In fact, Alabama has played the fourth toughest schedule in the country so far this year. Since losing to the Wildcats, they have won four straight games, and beat Kentucky in their SEC conference opener. Alabama has scored a minimum of 89 points in all of their wins, and are still averaging 80 points per game in their three losses.
Vanderbilt plays just as fast, as they are top 55 in possessions per game while Alabama is top 20. Vanderbilt already has seven top 100 wins this year, and are 9-5 against the spread while being perfect straight up. The Commodores are very talented on offense, but fail to get to the stripe or offensive rebound. Could that come back to bite them tonight at home?

Both teams run, both teams shoot tons of threes, and both relax on the defensive end of things. We have a crazy high total for a reason, and I think that's the perfect excuse to stay off a side or total in this matchup and take a player prop.
#13 Alabama vs. #11 Vanderbilt NCAA Basketball Picks and Predictions

Amari Allen leads the Crimson Tide in rebounds per game and plays at least 27 minutes per contest
Alabama vs. Vanderbilt Prediction: Alabama Wins Outright, Over 180.5
Best Bet: Amari Allen (Bama) Over 17.5 Points and Rebounds (-122) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Back this Alabama freshman to show out tonight on the road. He's been a big part of their rotation so far this season, and leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game this season. Allen is averaging just over this number, putting up 17.9 points and rebounds per game this year, but I still think the line is slightly too low for this matchup.
For starters, we might see 80 possessions. There are going to be tons of missed shots resulting in rebounding opportunities for the Crimson Tide's forward. He's cleared this number in 8/13 games this year, ending on 17 points and rebounds twice, and ending on 16 once as well. Allen leads the Alabama front court in minutes per game as well, seeing the court for an average of 27.3 minutes per game, but that number is up to 29 over the last seven contests.
This is a bet on volume. We know this guy is going to be on the court, we know he is Alabama's go to guy for points in the paint, and we know he cleans up the boards. Add all that in to the fact that we will see plenty of trips up and down the floor, and Allen should have no problem clearing this line for us.
