Bucky McMillan and the Texas A&M Aggies were on top of the SEC just last week before losing two straight to the Alabama Crimson Tide on the road and to the Florida Gators at home. Tonight they have a chance to redeem themselves as touchdown favorites over the Missouri Tigers as they head to Reed Arena for this conference battle. Will Dennis Gates rally his team for a third straight win? Or do the Aggies turn things around and right their wrongs from the past week? Our CBB experts broke this game down and found their favorite picks.

Missouri Tigers vs. Texas A&M Aggies NCAA Basketball Insights

Mark Mitchell and the Tigers are looking for a third straight win in the SEC tonight on the road - Missouri Texas A&M Picks

Mark Mitchell and the Tigers are looking for a third straight win in the SEC tonight on the road

The Aggies sit at 17-6 on the season and are 7-3 in SEC play. They lost their conference opener but then strung together seven straight wins prior to going 0-2 last week, against two tough teams. Now they host Missouri who is 16-7 on the year and 6-4 in the conference. Texas A&M has the clear advantage tonight, based on the home court and the current spread. But they've been slipping. They need to turn this ship around.

As for the Tigers, they haven't even been close to as battle tested as the Aggies, in conference play or outside of it. The Aggies have played the 82nd toughest schedule in the nation, while the Tigers rank 94th in that category. Sure, the Tigers have a big win in SEC play over Florida at home, but can they do it against a very good team on the road?

Personally, I don't think so.

Missouri's offense completely falls off when they leave Columbia. I'll admit, they do a decent job at getting to the stripe, but that's not going to cut it against the Aggies. The Tigers are just 3-5 in true road games this season, with wins over Howard, Kentucky and South Carolina. Although the Wildcats are now back in the top 25, they certainly were not when they played Missouri.

The Tigers also have losses to Notre Dame, Kansas, Ole Miss, LSU and Alabama away from home, and some of those were ugly. They are just 3-5 against the spread in these road games as well, and are 1-5 ATS in their last six overall. This is a bad spot for them, as they've won two straight against easy teams, while the Aggies have lost two straight against very tough teams.

The Aggies' offense was nonexistent against the Florida Gators. Playing Missouri will feel like a weight lifted off their shoulders. This team is not afraid to run, shoots plenty of threes at a high percentage and they get to the free throw line often. Not to mention Bucky McMillan's "mother in law" defense that isn't afraid to constantly nag and harass their opponents for a full 40 minutes. This is the perfect spot for the Aggies to get back on track and pick up a big time win to set the tone for the remainder of the season.
