I think most of us still haven't gotten over the end of the Western Michigan/Michigan game. Let's call it what it was – a screw job. Michigan is extremely fortunate to be 1-0, but they have to quickly gather themselves and welcome in Oklahoma to the Big House on Saturday.

What a big game Saturday is for both of these teams. Playing in the BIG 10 and SEC both of these teams have very difficult conferences schedules and now have to play each other on top of it. Oklahoma looked the part in Week 1 with a dominant 51-0 win over UTEP. Michigan, survived against Western Michigan 13-12 in a very controversial ending.

Arch Manning is probably under the most pressure of any quarterback this week, but right behind him is Bryce Underwood. The #1 overall recruit coming out of high school a couple years ago has been incredibly underwhelming for the Wolverines. Last year, he had a pedestrian season and on Saturday vs the Broncos he looked terrible. 12-21 with 1 TD, 1 INT and 170 yards passing with a large chunk of those coming on the hail mary heave. If Michigan wants to win on Saturday, he needs to play WAY better.

Then you have Oklahoma, who made the playoff last year and a lot of people think they could be back this season. They still have an elite defense and if QB John Mateer is healthy this season the Sooners could be dangerous. The Sooners were 4-0 in true road games last year including wins at #14 Tennessee and #4 Alabama. Their defense travels and they can beat any team on the road.

The lookahead line for this game was Michigan-1.5. We are now at Oklahoma -5.5. You definitely need to downgrade Michigan, but the question is by how many points? To me 7 points feels a little steep. I definitely think Michigan was looking ahead to Oklahoma and maybe not treating Western Michigan with the proper respect which led to their poor performance. I also expect this game to be low scoring and in those types of games if you're usually getting the underdog over a field goal I tend to side with that team.

Here is my advice to people that I would caution them not to do. Don't let your emotions and hatred towards Michigan blindly make you feel like you have to bet Oklahoma this week. Betting is all about numbers and regardless of how much you hate a team or how much you think they suck if the number is too high then you have to take it. The line is probably a little higher than it should be because of how many people are betting against Michigan, wanting to see them lose.

I don't like Michigan either and Western Michigan absolutely got robbed. That doesn't mean that I'm going to let my emotions guide me into betting the house on Oklahoma especially when I don't like the number.

Oklahoma's defense is excellent and I think Michigan will have a tough time moving the ball against them. I also think Oklahoma's offense will struggle in this game as well. I'll definitely be pulling for Oklahoma to win as a fan, but as a bettor I'm taking Michigan plus the points. I think this line is too high and I'll grab the 5.5.
