A great slate of games this week in the SEC. I'm going to look at two games that feature teams coming off huge wins. Auburn at Georgia where the Bulldogs are coming off a massive win against Alabama. Kentucky at Oklahoma. Both the Wildcats and Sooners are coming off crazy upset wins. Kentucky beat LSU in OT, 35-34, while Oklahoma beat #1 Texas, 27-24. Let's dive into both of those games and what bets I like for this week.

Auburn at Georgia NCAA Football Picks

Alex Golesh is 23-15 as a head coach, and 2-0 in the postseason. Will that success continue at Auburn? Baylor Auburn Expert Picks

Alex Golesh and Auburn look for a gigantic upset vs Georgia

Best Bet: Auburn 1H +11.5 (-120) BetOnline

There is a great trend in college football that after a team has a win against a top 10 team you fade that team in the first half the following week. The idea is that after a big win like that, the team has a slow start to the game. We have already seen that plenty of times this season.

After Michigan had a big win vs Oklahoma they only led 17-14 at UTEP the following week. When Ole Miss beat Kiffin and LSU the following week they went to Florida and were trailing 17-6 at the half. The Gators were trailing Mizzou 20-10 at halftime after that big win against Ole Miss. You see it time and time again in College Football. These teams struggle in the first half. I could definitely see the same thing with Georgia.

Auburn is coming off a bye so they are well rested and plenty of their games have been low scoring this season. 17-16 win over Baylor, 21-15 win over Vandy and 24-14 loss to Tennessee. A team like the Tigers who can muck it up and play an ugly first 30 minutes is exactly the kind of team that can bring Georgia down to the mud with them.

I expect Georgia to turn it on in the 2nd half and they're going to win the game, but you could see how badly Kirby and the Dawgs wanted that Bama game last week. They got that win and now they come home as a 3 touchdown favorite. I would expect a little sloppiness and I'll take Auburn in the 1H +11.5.

Kentucky vs Oklahoma NCAA Football Picks

Will Stein and Kentucky look to keep rolling in the SEC

Best Bet: Kentucky ML (+192) BetOnline

We have an up and coming star in the College Football coaching ranks and his name is Will Stein. Kentucky's Head Coach has led the Wildcats to a 5-1 start this season when their preseason win total was only 4.5 wins. If they can get past the Sooners on Saturday there is a legit shot that Kentucky could be a college football playoff contender.

The Sooners game will not be easy though. Norman is always a tough place to play and that Sooners defense is one of the best in the country. With Oklahoma it comes down to the offense. Prior to the upset of Texas, OU had scored a combined 37 points in their last 3 games. They scored 27 against the Longhorns. It always helps when your defense can score you two touchdowns but that isn't something you can rely on every week.

This Kentucky team reminds me of last year's Virginia team in terms of just finding ways to win every single week. UVA won 3 overtime games last year and Kentucky already has 2 OT wins, both by the same score! What makes this game so fascinating is both teams are coming off huge wins. Kentucky over LSU and Oklahoma over Texas. Who can handle success better and turn the page to this game? Also what sticks about about this game is the spread.

This line is really fishy with Oklahoma favored by 6.5 points. I see this game playing out one of two ways. Either Kentucky wins outright or Oklahoma wins by double digits. I'll side with Kentucky in this one because I still don't trust Oklahoma's offense. The Sooners defense I expect to play well and I think the Cats will have a tough time on offense, but offensively OU has been dreadful this season and I think Kentucky can take advantage of that.
