Back to Sin City we go in this series as the Vegas Golden Knights host the Edmonton Oilers tonight in Game 5. After losing both contests at home, the Knights rallied and won at the very last minute of Game 3 in order to extend this series. However, they are coming off putting up a goose egg in Alberta, so they will certainly need to step up the offense in this one.

After holding Edmonton to just 20 SOGs in Game 3, the Oilers came out firing, lighting up Adin Hill for 32 shots on net, forcing the Knights to block 18 others. Neither team was successful on the power play in Game 4, as we saw all five penalties killed. However, the Golden Knights only put 23 shots on goal, as Stuart Skinner saved everything sent his way, en route to a 3-0 shutout.

Can Vegas rally at home to send this series back to Edmonton for Game 6? Or will the Oilers take care of business tonight, and advance to a second straight Western Conference Finals?

The Oilers were essentially 0.4 seconds away from a sweep. Had that shot not gone in, I'm convinced the Oilers win that game in overtime, and we don't even get a Game 5. But, it happened and here we are.

It took everything in the Golden Knights to take down Edmonton in Game 3, and they weren't able to contain the Oiler attack the next time out. Throughout this series, Edmonton has blocked more shots, taken more on goal, and overall has controlled both ends of the ice. Skinner solved whatever issues he had early in the playoffs, and now looks ready for another cup run.

That starts with a win tonight to advance.

We took the under in Game 4 for plus money and cashed with ease, but we should've taken the Oilers as well. Skinner's presence scared me off, but tonight I have a very similar read and I can't pass up the Oilers at plus money. Sure they are on the road, but Vegas is not as good as they used to be at home. Yes, they have their backs against the wall, but the Oilers have been a streaky team all season, and I think they have it in them to end this tonight.

It would be nice to advance back at home, but Edmonton does not want to give the Golden Knights any hope that they can turn things around. If the Oilers don't get it done tonight, I'm sure they'll do so in Game 6. However for plus money, I'll bet that they get it done in Sin City.
