We had a great game one to start this Atlantic Division second round series. The Buffalo Sabres took game one from the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 4-2. Buffalo got hot early and never looked back in that game.
Buffalo scored just four and a half minutes into the first period by Josh Doan. Another nine minutes later, they struck again, this time scored by Ryan McLeod. The Canadiens did make sure to get at least one in the net before the period was over with a power play goal from Nick Suzuki.
The second period went a lot like the first period. Buffalo scored one early in the period and another midway through as well. Goals were scored by Jordan Greenway and Bowen Byram. From there, it was the Sabres the rest of the way with a 4-2 lead and scoreless third period.
Sabres goalie Alex Lyon played a good game. He stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced for a .929 save percentage. On the other hand, Canadiens goalie Jakub Dobes did not have a good game. He allowed four goals on 16 shots for a .750 save percentage.

Last game seemed like cruise control for the Sabres. They got ahead earlier and never looked back. They're comfortable at home and I think we see more of the same this game. Give me the Sabres moneyline for decent value tonight.
Montreal won a game vs. a talented team with 9 shots but peppered the net in game one and couldn't get the win. Sabres goalie Alex Lyon looked solid, and he definitely will come back prepared. Being division rivals, each team knows each other and the Sabres exposed the Canadiens.
I do lean with the under on this game. We should see more of a chess match as I like to say. The Canadiens are going to come out firing to not get behind again, but Lyon should be holding it down again. Buffalo didn't shoot much in game one, so we'll look to see the shots count go up in game two.
Give me Rasmus Dahlin to get 3 or more shots on goal. He is the captain of this team and the quarterback of the power play. Dahlin has also hit the mark in his least four games straight and five out of six games.
