We had an exciting game one between these two teams and we're back for game two. The Vegas Golden Knights took the first game of the series vs. the Anaheim Ducks at home on Monday. It was a slow-paced game that Vegas never trailed in.
They went the whole first period with no scoring. The Knights finally broke the tie a few minutes into the second period with a goal by Brett Howden. It ended up being the only goal of the period and Vegas was up 1-0 going into the third period.
It took fourteen minutes into the third, but the Ducks finally tied the game. Forward Mikael Granlund scored and assisted by Jackson LaCombe and John Carlson. Anaheim finally looked like they had a chance, but only a minute later, the Knights scored.
Vegas forward Ivan Barbashev scored a goal off a pass from Pavel Dorofeyev. The Knights only trailed for a minute and five seconds. Mitch Marner sealed the game with an empty netter with six seconds left.
Goalie Carter Hart was put to work on Monday. He saved 33 of the 34 shots he faced from this young Ducks team. Carter is expected to start game two and will look to back up his game one performance.

I had this wrong last game and going with the under this time. Vegas completely controlled that game and made the Ducks play their game. I think we see more of the same here and it takes Anaheim to go back home to break out.
The Knights are really good on offense as well, which is what makes them a dual threat to the Ducks. Anaheim struggles on defense and a team like the Knights who can hold down their offense, really puts pressure on their defense. I definitely lean with the Knights to win this game.
I do like for Carter Hart to get peppered again. If it's one thing the Ducks offense does good, it's fire that puck. Hart should see over 30 shots again and I don't think the line will even be set there. This could be a steal, but we'll wait to see what the line is.
For an offensive prop, I like for Jackson LaCombe to record a point. He hit the mark last game as well as in nine out of his last ten games. The young defenseman will be heavily involved, especially after missing that chance to score last game.
