I don't know what was in the water for game one, but I'd like to see that all series. HOLY! We had a massive 9-6 win by the Avalanche on Sunday to start the series. Let's see what game two has in store for us on Cinco de Mayo!
It was an absolute barn burner last game. The Avs struck first eleven minutes into the game with a goal by Sam Malinski. A minute later, Jack Dury scored and another minute later, Artturi Lehkonen scored a power play goal. It was 3-0 real quick.
Minnesota was ready though, scoring a goal two minutes after the Lehkonen goal by Marcus Johansson. Just like the Avs, a minute later the Wild buried another one, this time from Ryan Hartman.
The second period had a ton of scoring as well. Colorado got the first goal from Nick Blankenburg just four minutes in. Minnesota proceeded to score three straight goals to take the lead 5-4. The Avs said hold my beer and tied the game at five apiece just a minute later from Devon Toews.
In the third, it was all Colorado. They wasted no time and put up two goals in the first six minutes of the period with goals from Cale Makar and Nazem Kadri. Wild forward Mats Zuccarello scored another one, but the Avs iced them off with 2 more goals.

This is going to be another great game, as will the whole series. Last game had so much offense that you have to think major adjustments will be made on both ends. Neither team can sustain allowing as many goals as they did last game.
We're going to take the under 6.5 goals for this one. The sportsbook raised the line by one goal, as expected and I think we see a 4 or 5 goal total this game. Both teams' defenses will be more prepared after game one to not let that happen again.
After game one, I think the Avalanche still pepper the net. Give me Jesper Wallstedt to get over his saves line. The line should come out around 28-29 saves and he's going to see over 30 shots again.
Another play I like is Artturi Lehkonen to get 3 or more shots on goal. He has hit in his last three games and is heating up. Lehkonen scored in his last game and has also scored in two of his last three games.
