MLS
Happy Hump Day, everyone!
We have an absolutely gorgeous MLS slate on our hands tonight. Every team in the league takes the pitch for a massive 15 match midweek card.
The player prop markets I usually attack are a little tricky this week. However, I found two plus money spots in matchups I really like.
Both follow a simple philosophy: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Let's get to the plays!
Head over to our MLS Picks Page for our expert's soccer analysis, or read my best bets below.
Featured Plays
Philadelphia Union vs. Inter Miami
We're going right back to targeting this Miami back line.
Until they show me something different, I see no reason to stop.
Miami have conceded at least two goals in six of seven matches since MLS returned from the World Cup break. The lone exception came on the road against a struggling Montreal side.
Even then, Montreal generated 2.04 expected goals.
That's not exactly a performance that makes me want to stay away from opposing attackers.
Philadelphia, meanwhile, have been one of the hottest teams in MLS since the break.
The Union have won five of their last seven matches. In the two losses, I thought Philadelphia were the better side for long stretches.
One major reason for their recent success has been Cavan Sullivan.
He's finally getting the consistent playing time he deserves, and it's made a massive difference for this attack.
In my opinion, Sullivan has been Philadelphia's best player since the World Cup break. He's involved in almost everything the Union create going forward.
The underlying numbers back that up.
Sullivan ranks inside Philadelphia's top five in expected goals and expected goals per 90 minutes. He's also third in chances created at 1.9 per match.
His six big chances created rank second on the team.
What makes those numbers even more impressive is that he's started only about half of Philadelphia's matches this season.
Now he gets a struggling Miami defense in a game the books expect to feature goals.
Philadelphia are at home and clearly enter this match in better form.
At plus money, give me the young American to get involved in another goal tonight.
Play: Cavan Sullivan To Score or Assist (+110)
New York Red Bulls vs. Nashville SC

Cristian Espinoza and Nashville look to hold keep momentum going on the road.
We're going right back to Cristian Espinoza.
As long as the books continue offering this prop at plus money, I'm going to keep looking his way.
Nashville have been somewhat inconsistent lately. However, I've said it before: this attack looks completely different when Espinoza is available.
He's so important to Nashville and what they want to do on the pitch.
The entire attack looks more decisive when Espinoza is pulling the strings. He adds creativity, movement, and another legitimate scoring threat in the final third.
After dealing with an injury, he finally looks healthy again.
Espinoza has contributed to a goal in both matches he's played since returning.
I expect Nashville to field a strong lineup tonight. Even if Espinoza comes off the bench, we've already seen that he doesn't need much time to make an impact.
His season long numbers show exactly why he's so important.
Espinoza ranks inside Nashville's top five in goals per 90 minutes and expected goals. He also leads the team in chances created at nearly three per match.
His 10 big chances created are the most on the team.
Now he gets a Red Bulls defense that has been struggling badly.
New York have conceded two goals in every match since MLS resumed following the World Cup break.
That's a major concern against a healthy Nashville attack.
Nashville also enter this matchup with plenty of confidence after a massive home win over Miami. That victory helped create more separation at the top of the Eastern Conference.
I like Nashville to put up a crooked number tonight.
If they do, getting Espinoza at +110 to contribute to one of those goals is a number I'll gladly take.
Play: Cristian Espinoza To Score or Assist (+110)
