Rashid Shaheed produced one of the most electrifying moments of the 2025-26 NFL playoffs with a game-opening kickoff return touchdown for the Seattle Seahawks against the San Francisco 49ers

Just like that, the first two weeks of the NFL playoffs are in the books. From 14 teams when the festivities started, only four teams remain in the mix to lift the Lombardi Trophy at Super Bowl 60.

After a Wild Card Weekend that was indeed wild, the divisional round delivered its share of thrills. Both days of divisional action featured one game that sizzled and one game that fizzled.

Saturday's AFC showdown between the sixth-seeded Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos saw Denver squander a 23-10 second-half lead but pull out a 33-30 win in overtime, though the celebrations were muted due to quarterback Bo Nix suffering a season-ending ankle break on the final drive.

There were no thrills in the NFC matchup between the sixth-seeded San Francisco 49ers and top-seeded Seattle Seahawks, as Seattle punched first and didn't stop punching in a 41-6 rout at Lumen Field.

Sunday's games went into the opposite order. In a game that featured eight turnovers, the New England Patriots punched their ticket to the AFC Championship Game with a 28-16 win over the Houston Texans. In the nightcap, the Los Angeles Rams recorded the only road win of the divisional round, overcoming another memorable moment for Caleb Williams in a 20-17 overtime win over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

So, after entering the divisional round with the possibility of a first-time Super Bowl champion (Bills or Texans) or a long drought ending (49ers or Bears), the AFC Championship Game and NFC Championship Game will both feature teams who have a fairly recent championship win.

Who will face off at Levi's Stadium on February 8? As we have been all season, Betting News will have expert picks and consensus NFL picks for every game of the NFL playoffs, including Super Bowl 60.

Super Bowl 60 Odds

The Niners' nasty night in Seattle ended San Francisco's dreams of playing for an NFL title at home. Instead, 49ers fans will have to see one of their NFC West rivals go for the gold at Levi's Stadium.

The Seahawks continue to hold the line as the favorite to win it all, while the Rams and Pats have the same odds at Lucky Rebel, which is one of the best Super Bowl betting sites. Despite hosting the AFC Championship Game, the outlook is not favorable for the Broncos, who will turn to former Patriot Jarrett Stidham with Nix rendered a spectator.
