English Premier League Weekend Preview: Game Picks and Odds | February 17, 2024

We're back with another week of the English Premier League and we have some good matchups this week. There were some great last week with a lot of favorites coming out on top.

Erling Haaland got back to form in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Everton and he scored both goals. Liverpool continued to win without Mo Salah in a 3-1 victory against Burnley. It is looking like Mo could possibly make his return tomorrow.

Manchester United pulled off an impressive upset of Aston Villa by a score of 2-1. This win moved them into the 6th spot on the table only 5 points behind Aston Villa.

Arsenal just went off, there's no other way to say it. They beat the breaks off West Ham by a final score of 6-0. Bukayo Saka scored 2 goals and Declan Rice has 1 goal and 2 assists.

This week we have another nice slate in front of us for Saturday. It gets kicked off with Brentford hosting Liverpool in the early slot. Tottenham will host Wolverhampton and Manchester City will be home as well taking on Chelsea.

Tottenham has to have had this game circled. They lost the 1st matchup between the 2 teams earlier this year 2-1. The Spurs were also sitting in the top of the league at the time.

Home field advantage should come into play today. Tottenham is 3-2-0 in their last 5 matches and are currently 4th in the table. Games like this matter because they should win them.

Heung-Min Son has taken over as the star of this club after Harry Kane departed. He has 12 goals and 6 assists with 26 shots on target so far this season. Son has really elevated himself as one of the top players in the Premier League.

With all that being said, give me the revenge spot. I like Tottenham to get one back from Wolverhampton tomorrow. In doing so, Son will be greatly involved. Since he has so much involvement, we're going to take to score or assist to cover both ends. If you're feeling spicy, sprinkle his anytime goal for +125.

Manchester City vs Chelsea Prediction, Odds and Picks

With the return of Erling Haaland last week, Man City looked like themselves again. I love the fact that he found the back of the net twice last game to break a cold streak.

Manchester City sits in the 2nd spot on the table, still contending for 1st despite losing Haaland for a few weeks. They are 5-0-0 in their last 5 matches as well, so they're rolling.

Now some could argue, but in my opinion, Chelsea is not that good (and those that argue will probably be wearing a dark blue kit!). They sit in the 10th spot of the table with a 10-4-10 record this season.

There's also a little revenge factor here for Man City because they drew 4-4 in the first game this season vs Chelsea. Haaland had 2 goals in that game.

I personally think this is a layup for Man City. At home with Haaland back plus a winning streak tells me they continue to win. I expect them to get the win this time and Haaland to keep being Haaland.
