The soccer gambling world is blessing us with some midweek Major League Soccer on this Wednesday. All but two teams are in action on this Hump Day as the MLS has a 14 match slate this evening. Let's hope we can continue our winning ways in this league as we have had plenty of success this season. Today, we keep it going with our expert MLS picks.

Major League Soccer: Wednesday's Predictions May 13

CF Montreal vs. Portland Timbers MLS Picks

Best Bet: Portland Timbers +0.5 (-117) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook

The Portland Timbers have been playing phenomenal soccer recently, and I will be backing them to go on the road and at least earn a draw over CF Montreal. These teams have not gone head to head since 2023, and the Timbers have not beaten Montreal in the last five straight matches, losing three times. They may be playing with an extra chip on their shoulder.

Portland is coming off thumping Sporting KC by winning 6-0 last Saturday, and although they have been shutout a couple times on the road, they do have a 2-1 road win over San Diego. I also endorse Portland's Team Total over 1.5 at +140 if you want something juicier, but I could see this being a 1-1 draw, which would cash our double chance wager. Now, Montreal has won three straight at home, but to Orlando City, New York City FC and the New York Red Bulls. I believe the Timbers will prove to be a much tougher opponent.

Prediction: Portland Timbers Win 2-1 (+1000)

FC Cincinnati vs. Inter Miami MLS Picks

Best Bet: Inter Miami ML/Over 1.5 (+132) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook

If you look at the betting odds, Inter Miami to win is plus money by itself. Definitely playable if you'd like, but I'll get a little greedy and add a watered down over into this same game parlay. The total is already set at 3.5 juiced to the over, so the books are expecting goals. In fact, Miami's team total over 1.5 is priced at -186, so odds are they can cover this number by themselves. I'm counting on that happening.

FC Cincinnati have conceded at least two goals to their opponents in four of their last five contests, and are allowing 2.25 per MLS match. Inter Miami is scoring just under that average, netting 2.17 per contest. The visitors have also been on a scoring frenzy, having netted seven goals in their last two games, and at least two in seven of their last eight in the MLS.

Nothing should change tonight, except for Miami's back line playing a little tighter, making it tough on the hosts to find the back of the net.

Prediction: Inter Miami Wins 3-1 (+1200)

Best Bet: LAFC ML (+145) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook

If you want to take LAFC on the draw no bet line, I think that is a great alternative. It is priced around -119 which is very playable, and backing a team a long way from home to win outright can be dicey. However, I have faith in this team. They are incredibly talented and much better on paper compared to St. Louis, who is having a very rough year.

For starters, LAFC has never lost to this club, winning two straight and four of the last five matches outright, including a 3-0 victory on the road in 2025. The visitors have one of the best back lines in the entire MLS, allowing just one goal per match, after starting the season with six consecutive shutouts. Our hosts are netting less than one goal per match while allowing 1.64.

LAFC is coming off two devastating losses, to the Houston Dynamo at home 4-1, and to Toluca FC on the road in the Concacaf Champions Cup 4-0. This is the perfect spot for them to get back on track and continue making a push for the top of the Western Conference.

Prediction: LAFC Wins 2-0 (+1200)
