Norway and the Viking faithful have successfully rowed their way into the Quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. But now things are harder than they've ever been for Erling Haaland and company. Today, Norway faces England down at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, with a trip to the World Cup Semifinals on the line. Can Haaland continue to will this Norwegian team forward by himself? Can Declan Rice and England reach the World Cup Semifinals with a win over Norway tonight?
Norway took down Iraq and Senegal in their openers, then sat most of their starters against France, conceding the top spot in the group. They then went on to beat the Ivory Coast on a last second Haaland goal, and then took down Brazil after two goals from the Viking himself. Now they go head to head with England, who has plenty of players used to containing this man.
England beat Croatia and Panama, but played Ghana to a scoreless draw. After falling down to Congo, they came back and won 2-1, and then took down Mexico in the Azteca in the Round of 16. I still don't know what to expect from this English side, but if Norway are pressing like they did against Brazil, I could see them finding the back of the net.

I don't need Norway to win, I just need them to avoid getting shutout, which is more than probable. Now, we need two goals to cash our bet anyways, so feel free to take their team total over 1.5 for +176, but I am not ashamed at playing something with push potential here. I'll be the first to admit, I did not think Norway would get to this point.
Early on, I had them out in the Round of 32, but I certainly thought they would lose to Brazil. Props to the Norwegian defense for holding strong, and for Haaland doing his thing. Now we need him to do it again today. I either see this being a 1-0 match either way, perhaps a 1-1 draw, or I envision us seeing at least four goals. There's really no in between for me.
Either England will play boring, possession based soccer for the entire 90 minutes, simply trying to prevent Norway from creating any opportunities. Or someone will net a goal early and this match will be wide open. Hopefully for our sake, Norway gets one early, then we can sweat out a winner knowing we have a push in our back pocket.
Prediction: 2-2 Draw (+1000)
