The Match of the Weekend in the English Premier League takes place on Sunday as Manchester City look for some revenge against Tottenham Hotspur on the road. These two went head to head at Etihad Stadium very early in the EPL season, and the Spurs were able to not only walk away with three points, but did so in shutout fashion, beating their hosts 2-0 on the road. Things might be different this time around, as City have revamped their lineup by adding Antoine Semenyo, who was not with the club in their first meeting. Like I said, we saw these two teams before. City were blanked at home by the Spurs in each team's second match of the EPL season. A lot has changed since then. Manchester City are now in second place on the EPL table, just four points behind Arsenal, while the Spurs have slipped to No. 14. They've gone 5-7-9 since their 2-0-0 start to the season, and have not crossed paths with City in the the Carabao Cup or the FA Cup. However they cannot escape them for a second time in league play.
While City do have a big match on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup Semifinals against Newcastle, that contest is at home, and they already lead 2-0 on aggregate. Their full focus should be trying to avoid the season sweep from the Spurs.

Yes, City already lost to this team. Sure, it was at home and they didn't even muster up a single goal. But that match feels like ages ago. Plenty has changed since then, including Manchester City's attack, and I believe it will be enough to get them past the Spurs on the road. Like I said, they have a big match in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, but the focus will be on catching Arsenal and earning three points here. They already let a victory slip away against this club at home, now it's personal.
After losing to United in the Manchester Derby and to Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League, City have turned it on. Pep Guardiola's squad has played two matches at home, both resulting in 2-0 shutouts for City. While the Spurs back line has been good in their last three matches, they've gone three straight at home in the EPL without a win. Plus, they lost to West Ham United and Aston Villa in consecutive matches in their own stadium.
Despite this not being a revenge spot at home, I trust City to bring their A-game and pick up three points. You can take this down to 3.5 for +180 if you'd rather.
