The FIFA Women's World Cup begins tomorrow, but the United States Women's National Team begins their journey on Friday night as they take on Vietnam!
We've got our prediction and best bets for how this game is going to go, and here's a hint, it's going to be ugly.
The United States are the favorite to win their third straight FIFA Women's World Cup, while this is Vietnam's first appearance ever. They are quite the underdog, especially against the USWNT, so this one will be interesting.
Millions of people will be watching worldwide and in person as this will be the most attended Women's World Cup of all time!

Will the United States Three-Peat?
If they could pull it off, they would be the first team to ever win the World Cup in three straight tournaments, men's or women's. They are the betting favorite, but there is plenty of competition in this tournament, including 2019's runner-up: The Netherlands.
The United States takes on the Netherlands on July 27th, and that will be spectacular. Overall, the US should win this group, and they will definitely handle business tomorrow night against Vietnam.
The United States needs to set a tone for the tournament, and unfortunately for Vietnam, it involves them losing by multiple goals. I look for the US to attack early and often involving both Alex Morgan and Sophia Smith.
Vlatko Andonovski will want to get those two specifically involved to get them in a nice groove going forward.
United States vs Vietnam Prediction & Best Bets
Look. I'm not going to lie to you and say I've got some sort of edge with these kinds of numbers. The United States is winning this game, it's just a matter of by how many.
This is Vietnam's first ever appearance in the FIFA Women's World Cup, unfortunately in this game they will be lucky to score.
Vegas thinks the USA will win this game around 6-0 or so, but even then you have to pay -125 and you would push. I think Vlatko let's the ladies bet extra aggressive a little longer than normal just to make sure they are in the rhythm for the rest of the tournament.
What I'll do is be a little greedy and see if we get lucky.

This seems like a really steep price for what we're asking, however this girl is the truth. So far in her season with the Portland Thorns of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), Smith has 10 goals and 5 assists in just 13 games.
She's started all but one game, and she has two hat tricks on the year.
She has 12 goals in 30 international appearances, and this tournament will be her time to solidify herself with the greats she'll be playing alongside.
Smith is 22 years old but she first got called up to the senior squad for training when she was just 16. She's been playing consistently with them since she made her first appearance at 20 years old, and it's her time to take over as Megan Rapinoe announced her retirement, and other players are phasing out.
Look for Smith to let make herself known in this opening game.
