Joshua Kimmich and Germany netted seven goals in their opener. Will they continue to find the back of the net tonight? World Cup Picks

FIFA World Cup

Day Four of the World Cup is here, and we have another exciting slate of matches. We have yet to see a true upset in the tournament. That could change today.

Outside of Germany facing Curacao, every match on today's card looks competitive and evenly matched. I found a few player props that stand out, so let's dive right in.

Featured Plays

Joshua Kimmich Anytime Goalscorer (+260) / Anytime Assist (+175)

Kimmich will Captain Germany at the 2026 World Cup as they look at make a deep run.

Germany could not have asked for a better opening matchup. Curacao currently sits 82nd in the FIFA World Rankings, while Germany ranks 10th.

The match will be played in Houston under a closed roof. Indoor venues have historically produced goals. The controlled conditions create a faster pitch and a higher-paced game.

This feels like a David versus Goliath matchup. The sportsbooks agree. Germany enters as a 3.5-goal favorite, and the total sits at 4.5 goals. Expectations are high for the Germans to score several times.

With that in mind, I expect captain Joshua Kimmich to be involved. His To Score or Assist line is priced too heavily for my liking. Instead, I prefer splitting a unit between his goalscorer and assist markets.

Kimmich handles penalties for Germany. With Curacao likely defending deep, Germany should spend most of the match in the attacking third. That pressure could easily lead to a penalty opportunity with how many players Curacao will have in the box.

Kimmich also enters the tournament in solid form. He recorded an assist in both World Cup tune-up friendlies. Across his last nine competitive matches for Germany, he has produced two goals and three assists.

If Germany puts up the number many expect, Kimmich should have every chance to contribute.

Play: Joshua Kimmich Anytime Goalscorer (+260) / Anytime Assist (+175)

Amad Diallo 1+ Shot on Target (-120)

The 23-year-old Manchester United winger will make his World Cup debut and look to help lead Ivory Coast's attack.

I am very bullish on Ivory Coast entering this World Cup. Their opening match against Ecuador is massive, and earning a result would be a great start.

Ecuador may be flying under the radar for many fans. They possess one of the strongest defensive units in the tournament. Their midfield and back line are the foundation of the team.

The attack lacks some pace, but Ecuador excels at grinding out low-scoring matches. A 0-0 or 1-0 result would not be surprising.

If Ecuador scores first, Ivory Coast should see plenty of possession. That scenario would create opportunities for Amad Diallo to attack down the right wing and test the goalkeeper.

Diallo is also capable of winning individual battles. He will likely spend time matched up against Pervis Estupiñán. While Estupiñán is a quality defender, Diallo has the skill to create space in one-on-one situations.

The numbers support this play as well. Diallo averaged 0.88 shots on target per 90 minutes for Manchester United this season. He also averaged more than two shots per match.

During the Africa Cup of Nations, he averaged 4.33 shots and 1.02 shots on target per 90 minutes. He has consistently been an active shooter for both club and country.

This should be a tight match, but Diallo only needs one effort on frame. Given his role, matchup, and shooting volume, I like his chances of getting there.

Play: Amad Diallo 1+ Shot on Target (-120)
