Looking for a winning day as we went 0-2 last night. YTD sits at 28-24 +6.78 Units. Today we'll look at the Baltimore Orioles vs Athletics series finale, at Sutter Health Park, in Sacramento.

Baltimore Orioles vs Athletics Picks and Preview

The surging Baltimore Orioles are looking to cap off a three game sweep this afternoon as they face the Athletics. The O's took Game 1 by a score of 4-3, in extra innings. Last night's game resulted in a 5-3 Baltimore win. The Orioles have won six of their last eight games and currently sit 1 game out of the last American League Wild Card spot. Sutter Health Park has been conducive for runs over the past two seasons, but not so much in this series, will than change today? Let's dive in….

Baltimore Orioles vs Athletics Predictions and Best Bets

Gunnar Henderson and the Orioles take on the Boston Red Sox on the road tonight - Red Sox Orioles Picks

Game Pick: Baltimore Orioles vs Athletics Over 10 -114 Lucky Rebel

It's been a relatively quiet series at the plate as they have only been 15 runs over the first 2 games. Day game action should change that today. Weather calls for a 90 degree day with wind blowing out to center at 6 miles per hour. Sutter Health Park is the number 1 rated park for runs today, according the Ballpark Pal. We are also presented with a nice pitching matchup. Baltimore will send Chris Bassitt to the bump. The right hander has struggled on the road this season where he sports a 6.19 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and a .318 BAA. The Athletics will counter with left hander Jeffrey Springs, who has had his own struggles. Springs sports a home ERA of 6.71, 1.62 WHIP and a .291 BAA.

Offensively, both of the lineups have favorable splits. The Orioles average 5.4 runs per 9 vs left handers on the road where they are hitting .264 (2nd), have an OPS of .770 (3rd) and wRC+ of  116 (2nd). The Athletics average 5.1 runs per 9 vs right handers at home where they are hitting .258 (10th), .769 (7th) and wRC+ of 100 (21st). T do expect the Orioles to do the bulk of the scoring but the Athletics should be able to plate enough runs to get this over the total.

Player Prop: Lawrence Butler Over 1.5 Total Bases +135 Lucky Rebel

Athletics right fielder Lawrence butler has struggled this season. The left handed hitter has an batting average of .228 with 12 home runs and 43 runs batted in. He is coming on lately though as he has record a hit in 14 of his past 15 games. Butler has done just about all of his damage at home where he is hitting .258 with 22 extra base hits, including 11 home runs. He has also hit this mark in 12 of his last 17 games at Sutter Health Park. Finally, left handed hitters have a batting average of .342 vs Bassitt and Butler is lifetime 4/9 against him with a double.

Player Prop: Coby Mayo Over 1.5 Total Bases +110 Lucky Rebel

Baltimore third baseman Coby Mayo is hitting .217 on the season with 18 home runs and 52 runs batted in. On the road, May is hitting .226 with 16 extra base hits. the main reason why I like this bet is Mayo's splits vs left handed pitching. Mayo is crushing southpaws to the tune of a .322 batting average with 14 home runs and 8 doubles, resulting in a ISO of .424. He's hit this mark in 5 of his last 7 games when facing a left handed started, totaling 21 bases. Springs is allowing right handers to hit /262 against with, giving up 35 extra base hits.
