If you're a sports lover like me, you are completely exhausted from yesterday's CFB Week 0 slate. I totally forgot how tiring it was to sit on my couch and watch college football all day. Typically that means we get to do the same thing for NFL Sunday, but as we wait for the pros to begin, baseball is still the king to end the week. See what our experts found on today's MLB slate, and let's hope we found some plus money winners, as we continue to chase the 20 unit profit mark before the season is over.

Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Guardians MLB Picks

For plus money, back the Royals with me to at least be tied after five innings. I don't hate the first five moneyline, or the full game moneyline either. The Guardians are on upset alert. For starters, believe it or not, the Royals might be the hottest team in baseball. Nobody cares, because they are pretty much out of any playoff race, but they are winning games like crazy at the moment.
They have now won 13 of their last 15 games overall, including beating Cleveland in two straight to start this series. Kansas City now owns the regular season series lead as well, leading 5-4 this year. I've got to stick with them in this spot.
They hit lefties fine, the team has hit .253 since the All Star Break and .261 in the month of August. Although I typically like to only back my home town team at Kauffman, I'll take Lugo to help us at least be tied before he gets pulled.

- Texas Rangers: RHP Kumar Rocker (5-10, 4.41 ERA, 1.40 WHIP)
- Milwaukee Brewers: RHP Dustin May (6-8, 4.56 ERA, 1.29 WHIP)

Look, Dustin May used to be a pitcher we were looking to fade every single start. But then he got traded to the Brewers and everything changed. Regardless, in the other dugout is a guy that I definitely want to fade in this spot. On the road and against a rock solid, division leading offense, I don't trust Kumar Rocker one bit.
For starters, the Rangers have lost four straight games, getting outscored 32-15 in the process. That includes two straight losses to the Brewers, who have covered the run line in their four consecutive wins. But let's focus on Rocker and what he brings to the table.
The Ranger's pitcher has allowed a homerun in five of his last six starts, and seven of his nine in July and August. Texas is 3-6 in those outings. His ERA is up to 6.00 during the month of August, and now he faces an unfamiliar offense, who is looking to create some space in their divisional race. Good luck slowing down the Brew Crew, who are second in the MLB in runs scored at home, putting up over 5.25 per contest.
Can the Rangers offense keep up? If you think so, maybe the over is the play, but if you don't, like me, Brewers by two is the only option.
