St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs MLB Picks

Pete Crow-Armstrong has been on fire for the Cubs, look for him to lead them to victory over the Cardinals tonight
Cardinals vs. Cubs Pitching Matchup
- St. Louis Cardinals: RHP Hunter Dobbins (2-3, 3.40 ERA, 1.31 WHIP)
- Chicago Cubs: RHP Edward Cabrera (5-4, 5.10 ERA, 1.40 WHIP)
Best Bet: Cubs -1.5 (+116) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Back the Cubbies with me today at Wrigley Field. The BN Prediction Engine thinks this wager may be a bit too juicy, but I'll back this NL Central team at home in this rivalry matchup. Basically, I am more than okay with fading Hunter Dobbins. He has been on and off this year, but got lit up by the Cubs twice. In two starts against Chicago, Dobbins has posted a 5.00 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP. Plus, he has not seen the Cubs on the road, where his splits drop down a little bit.
On the other side of things, Edward Cabrera starts for the Cubbies. He has not seen this Cardinals team yet, and his splits have not been good during the month of August. However, I have much more faith in Chicago's bats. The Cubs are hitting .254 as a team in August, and .263 since the all star break. That includes an increase from .249 to .253 when playing at Wrigley.
The Cardinals hit .239 overall, but that number has dropped to .232 since the all star break. The regular season series is tied up at six games a piece. Today is the season finale between these two divisional rivals. Give me the home team to come out on top.
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Picks

Skubal is making his third start tonight as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers
Brewers vs. Dodgers Pitching Matchup
- Milwaukee Brewers: RHP Logan Henderson (6-2, 2.88 ERA, 0.91 WHIP)
- Los Angeles Dodgers: LHP Tarik Skubal (7-6, 2.93 ERA, 0.93 WHIP)
Best Bet: Brewers/Dodgers F5 Under 3.5 (-102) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
This line is stupid low, but I will still be betting on it. Logan Henderson and Tarik Skubal face off on the mound, and I see both of them shoving tonight against the opposition. Both pitchers bring sub 1.00 WHIPs into this contest. Henderson has been a bit shakier in recent matchups, but I like the idea of him getting back to the norm tonight. He already pitched five shutout innings against the Dodgers in May, giving up just two total hits while striking out seven batters in the process.
As for Skubal, his ERA is up to 4.09 in two starts with the Dodgers, and earlier this year he did struggle against Milwaukee as a member of the Tigers. Pitching for Detroit, Skubal allowed four runs in six innings on seven hits. This second time around, I think he is better equipped to sit these guys down and keep runs off the board early on.
Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros MLB Picks

Fade Bryan Woo on the road. It is sometimes that easy.
Mariners vs. Astros Pitching Matchup
- Seattle Mariners: RHP Bryan Woo (8-8, 4.15 ERA, 1.10 WHIP)
- Houston Astros: RHP Hunter Brown (3-2, 3.68 ERA, 1.27 WHIP)
Best Bet: Astros F5 ML (-115) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Nothing wrong with some push potential here as we back the hosts in the first five innings on Sunday Night Baseball. Once again, we are fading Bryan Woo on the road. It didn't work out last time for us, as Woo pitched five shutout innings against the Yankees in the Bronx, but this guy's away splits are too bad to ignore.
Despite a sub 2.00 ERA at home, Woo allows 6.22 runs per nine innings on the road, with his WHIP exploding from 1.10 to 1.44. Even with his recent success away from home, I will go right back to fading him tonight. I want to see him have two quality outings on the road in a row. Plus the Mariners have lost seven of their last nine overall, sliding down the AL West.
For the Astros, Hunter Brown has lost his last two outings, allowing three earned runs in each. He has not seen the Mariners yet this year, but is plenty familiar with them from past matchups. Two Mariner's hitters with the substantial at bats against Brown include Randy Arozarena (.063 average, 16 ABs) and Cal Raleigh (.167 average, 18 ABs), but they both have struggled. Give me Brown to lead Houston to a first five victory tonight.
