San Diego Padres vs. Cincinnati Reds MLB Picks

The Padres came through for us last night, so we will go right back to them. They've been trending in the right direction in the second half of the season, and I don't have much faith in Nick Lodolo or Cincinnati.
San Diego hits .238 overall, but .239 against lefties and .242 on the road. However their team average is up to .249 during the month of August, and .264 since the All Star Break, making them one of the best offenses since the break. Tonight I think they give Randy Vasquez the support he needs to get the win.
Lodolo's ERA is up to 7.71 in four starts in August, giving up four, six, zero, and four earned runs in the process, successfully shutting out the Marlins. Big whoop. Let's see if he can shove against San Diego.

Just fade the Rockies. Everyone hits well at Coors Field, and Gabriel Hughes does not have a win this season. In fact, Colorado is just 2-8 in this guy's 10 starts this season. In those outings, things have not gone well, especially recently.
Gabriel Hughes has allowed at least three earned runs in six straight starts. Over those outings, he has thrown 28.1 innings, good for a 9.29 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP. Not to mention his home splits are inflated as well.
Don't overthink this, just pray the O's bats are good for enough runs to cover tonight.

MLB System Play. Now, this one did give me some pause, but hear me out. The Diamondbacks are at home, they are facing a lefty, so we take them on the moneyline. By my count, this system is 14-4 when we bet it this year, although I'll admit I probably have missed a couple.
The Snakes are the best hitting team in the MLB against left handed pitching, and they already ripped Luzardo apart. While he's shoving recently, he gave up five runs on as many hits in just 4.2 innings against Arizona at home in April. Now he faces them on the road.
Eduardo Rodriguez has been a stud for Arizona, having won seven of his last nine starts. I think he gets another tonight.
