Our final Round of 16 match happens this afternoon in Vancouver as Switzerland takes on Colombia. Both teams ended up topping their groups and winning their Round of 32 matchup, leading them both to this spot. The winner will likely have to face Argentina in Kansas City, unless Egypt can pull off an upset today. Switzerland topped Group B after a draw with Qatar and wins over Bosnia & Herzegovina and Canada. Then they went on to knockout Algeria in the Round of 32, successfully earning their first shutout victory. As for Colombia, they beat Uzbekistan and Congo, then drew with Portugal but still topped Group K.
They faced Ghana in the Round of 32, beating them 1-0 in a tight match. Since then, the Colombians had to travel to Vancouver for this match, while the Swiss stayed there after beating Algeria. Could the minimal travel actually help the Swiss in this match?

Best Bet: Colombia to Advance/Under 3.5 (+100) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
There is no doubt in my mind that this will be a low scoring match. The betting odds suggest that type of contest, plus these two back lines have been phenomenal all tournament long. Switzerland allowed 0.60 expected goals against Qatar, 0.23 xG against Bosnia, and 0.73 xG against Algeria. Those numbers are incredible, and despite them being slightly higher against Canada, the hosts were desperate in that match playing from behind. The point remains, this Swiss defense has been rock solid.
But they have not faced an offense like Colombia's. This South American team is going to press, they will be aggressive, and they will force the Swiss out of their comfort zone for at least 90 minutes of this match. Ultimately, I see Colombia moving on, however they choose to do so. But I think we see less than three goals in regulation of this match, and it wouldn't surprise me if things are tied nil-nil before heading into a PK shootout.
With that in mind, I'll take Colombia to advance and pair it with this inflated under, but I also endorse Colombia at plus money on the ML, because they should finish the Swiss off in 90 minutes.
